Review 2/6/2010
We bought the mattress, 2 weeks later it is delivered with no law tags attached. Thought nothing of it, loved the bed and didn't notice the tag missing until after the delivery truck had left. Within a few months we noticed increasing sagging and body impressions. It got to the point where we were hurting in the night, waking with discomfort, and afraid to have our baby in the bed out of fear that he would fall into the body impressions and not be able to remain in a safe sleeping position. You can actually see our body impressions in the mattress when the blankets are on the bed and the bed is made! So it became apparent to me exactly why the bed didn't have law tags! It wasn't meant to be sold! It's obviously a faulty product! I went to the salesman in Farmington and he told me they would replace it, that we didn't deserve to spend that much money and have this problem. But then the company sends someone to access the mattress. He notes that there is no law tag and that there is a tiny stain. We wiped the stain right off. It was very superficial and NOT THE REASON FOR THE IMPRESSIONS AND SINKING! We bought the mattress cover they recommended to protect the mattress, so the mattress appears brand new. Finally, the customer service rep called last week to deny us an exchange stating that the reason is because of missing law tags (that were never there!) and because of a "stain" (that was so minute it was nearly non existent and wiped right off). This is not fair. We are reasonable people. We just wanted to exchange the mattress. There is no chance that anyone working at American Home would want to sleep on a mattress in this condition, much less to have paid $1400 to sleep this poorly. Sealy should be ashamed of this mattress, and American Home should be held accountable for delivering a mattress that not only had no mattress law tag, but never even had any evidence that one was ever there. Shouldn't they check to make sure that the mattresses they send to customers have a law tag? I don't know who is at fault initially-- Sealy for delivering a mattress with no law tag, or American Home for selling and delivering a mattress with no law tag to their customer... All I know is that American Home should stand by their products and be fair to their customers. Period.
