I purchased a recliner from here on Jan 16, 2011. I was told it would arrive at the store in 3 to 4 weeks and that I could pick it up then. After 5 weeks I called to see if the chair had arrived yet. I was told that the chair had been discontinued and that I would have to take the floor model which had no warranty. I paid for a new chair with a warranty so I was not willing to settle for a used one with no warranty. No one had called me to tell me that the chair had been discontinued. The manager Derek laughed at me through the entire conversation. I told him I did not think the matter to be very funny and he kept laughing. He refused to let me have the floor model chair which had no warranty at a lower price than the new one which included a warranty. He also told me that if I came to the store to demand my money back he would have me arrested. He gave me some excuse that he had no checks and could not issue a refund, and that I would have to go through some other store to get it. To this day I have no chair and no refund. I went to the Ashley Furniture website and saw all the negative reviews on their own website and now I only want my money back. When and if I do get a refund I will update this complaint. But as far as I am concerned Ashley Furniture is nothing but a rip-off.
