Misuse of a Social Security Number
US BANK to also include GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION has utilized my entire social security number as an account number. They in turn, have forwarded my entire social security number on over to all 3 major credit bureaus to include Innovis. They refuse to utilize an account number other than my entire social security number. I have sent numerous e-mails and called and to no avail nothing has been done. The responses that I have received 2 letters from GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION is nothing but a bunch of gibberish dated on 8/5/2015 and does not address the issue of correcting the account number and forwarding that information to all 3 major credit bureaus to also include Innovis. I have received a letter from US BANK on 9/17/2015 which states in the fifth paragraph that they have used students’ entire social security numbers as account numbers. Today I received an e-mail in regards to US BANK and GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION wanting to remove my entire account off of the credit reports. Well, not so fast US BANK and GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION BECAUSE you both are in violation of the following laws: 1. Nebraska Statutes regarding Identity Theft Laws 2. Social Security Law 3. Privacy Act of 1974 4. Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978 5. Identity Assumption and Deterrence Act of 1998 6. Omnibus Reconciliation Act 7. Freedom of Information Act under Public Law 54-409 which protects against unauthorized disclosure of personal and sensitive information 8. HIPAA Privacy Laws (believe it or not) 9. Human rights violations under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to include Articles 1, 4, and 29 (2) I have requested yet again, asked for the correction on the credit reports and again that has been denied followed up with yet again, another letter with a bunch of gibberish. Furthermore, I will advise that one should not do business with either US BANK or GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION-EVER. If it takes 3 months to correct a very simple request and to use an account number other than an entire social security number then, what makes one think that they are competent to handle the affairs of student loan servicing or be competent in the financial sector in that regard? They have no problem creating numerous problems when it comes to Identity Theft Laws and privacy issues. Plus the fact that they like to write a bunch of gibberish responses to a simple request. Is there a no wonder why Identity Theft occurs? Furthermore, I demand compensation for irresponsibility on behalf of US BANK and GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION as requested in the CFPB case # 150828-002206. They get paid thousands of dollars for being a factory and generator of problems, irresponsibility, and misusing student(s) social security number(s). They get to drive fancy cars, have mansions, and take luxurious vacations for being a factory and generator of problems. I want to be compensated accordingly for being a generator and a factory of solutions. That solution will start with US BANK/GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION paying for my lifetime membership Lifelock Services and to include other measures to see to it that I am compensated accordingly in regards to amount of work that has been conducted on my part and the consequences for violating the laws as stated above for the problems that they have generated. That includes hours spent remedying this situation that was created by none other than US BANK and GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION.-Period. UPDATE: As of 11/27/2015, according to Lifelock credit reports, GREAT LAKES HIGHER EDUCATION has removed the information accordingly as requested. I have not checked my official credit reports with Transunion, Experian, and Equifax. This matter is considered only half resolved. I have changed my one star rating to a two star rating. UPDATE: As of 2/19/2016, Great Lakes has removed my entire SSN off all Lifelock.com credit reports to include Experian. Transunion and Equifax has not been confirmed at this juncture. I have changed my two star rating into a three star rating. This information is protected under UCC 1-308 under the First Amendment Right to Freedom of Speech of the United States Constitution.
